It’s been a rough couple years for Young Buck, with things getting even worse earlier this month when IRS agents raided his Tennessee home for over $300,000 in unpaid taxes. However, things are looking like they may turn around.
The former G-Unit member appeared in a short viral clip this week, announcing a release date in September for his next project, titled The Rehab.
“I’m just letting you know, go pick up that album, The Rehab, it’s in stores September 7,” Buck says in the new clip. “Salute to the streets, salute to all my fans, it’s about to get crazy. Holla.”
While, at first, it looked like he may have reached an agreement with his label G-Unit Records for his next official solo album, Buck clarified Monday afternoon (August 30) that The Rehab is just a mixtape containing “new project over some old tracks.”
“The REHAB is not my official ALBUM!! It’s a MIXTAPE with new production over some old tracks. Let’s Make This Clear!!!” Buck tweeted (@YoungBuckMarley).
It will hit the net on September 7.
