Earlier this week, singer Mariah Carey made headlines when photos of her presence surfaced, showing a slightly larger version of herself.
The images fueled speculation that Carey was pregnant, which was reported back in June by RadarOnline.
The singer has broken her silence regarding the matter, releasing a vague statement neither confirming nor denying whether she’s expecting.
“I appreciate everyone’s well wishes. But I am very superstitious,” Carey said, according to Rap-Up.com. “When the time is right, everyone will know — even Cindi Berger [my publicist].”
Her husband, Nick Cannon, also weighed in on reports, via an interview with New York City’s 92.3 NOW FM, but he too left fans wondering.
“Honestly… I say this to you so you can tell whoever it is you’ve got to tell, we all know it’s extremely personal, and it is for a woman to deal with things with her body, and especially when dealing with the idea of childbirth and all that stuff,” he stated.
“I’ve said it before and I’ll say it time and time again,” Cannon continued. “When my wife feels like talking about whatever she wants to talk about, you will hear it directly from her.”
