It will be a year since the passing of DJ AM on Saturday (August 28), and to commemorate the life of the popular DJ (real name: Adam Goldstein), Travis Barker’s retail store in Los Angeles (The Fast Life) is holding a memorial fundraiser.
This weekend, The Fast Life will open their doors to fans, selling limited edition AM Mixer tees, with the proceeds being donated to AM’s charity and memorial fund.
“It’s been one year since we lost our friend, so this Saturday we’re meeting up at The Fast Life in Los Angeles to commemorate the life of DJ-AM, and make a contribution to his memorial fund,” a blog post reads at FamousSas.com.
The event will feature special guest DJs spinning music, while many friends and family will be attendance supporting.
It will start at 2 pm and go to 5 pm at The Fast Life, located at 8101 W. 3rd St, Los Angeles 90048.
DJ AM passed away last August at his apartment in New York. Reports indicate he died of an accidental overdose. He was just 36 years old.
