Although he was just crowned Forbes’ 2010 Hip-Hop Cash King, making $63 million over the last 12 months, Jay-Z is not stopping to count his money … he’s ready to make more.
The rapper is set to join U2 for a tour down under later this year.
In celebration of the launch of Live Nation’s Australia branch, the concert promoters craved out a five-day trek for U2, enlisting Jay as a special guest during a string of dates in December.
The Australian dates, which kick off on November 25th, are just a side step of U2’s current international tour.
Following the November 25th stop at Auckland’s Mt. Smart Stadium, the following stops will include Melbourne, Brisbane, Sydney, and Perth.
Tickets are set to go on sale September 3rd, with with 45% of ticket prices set below a bargain $89. U2.com subscribers can snatch up tickets for these high profile gigs ahead of the public on-sale date, says reports.
Before Jay heads to Australia, he will perform two co-headlining shows with Eminem, one in Em’s hometown Detroit and the other taking place at Yankee Stadium.
