Buzzing Indiana rapper Freddie Gibbs has been making serious leaps in the music biz during the last couple of months. After releasing a pair of powerful mixtapes in ’09, Interscope let him go without a record being released. Gibbs later found a new home at Decon Records.
And now, last week, Decon and Gibbs released his new EP called Str8 Killa, which features production from DJ Burn One, Block Beattaz and Blended Babies, among others. Appearances include Chuck Inglish, Bun B, Jay Rock and more.
This Saturday (August 14), Gibbs will make a special in-store appearance at the Originators flagship store in Los Angeles, where he will introduce the Originators/Freddie Gibbs collabo tee.
During the event, which is sponsored by Decon, The Smoking Section and BallerStatus.com, visitors will also get a 20% discount on all purchases.
Gibbs is currently working on his debut album, Baby Faced Killa.
