Long-running graff-inspired clothing brand, Conart, has been doing their thing since 1989 … and are still around today.
The brand was one of the first labels to use raw designs by the top graffiti artists in the world, and became so popular hip-hop artists such as Notorious B.I.G., Ol’ Dirty Bastard, Method Man, Red Man, The Pharcyde, Gangstarr and many others have supported them in movies, videos and advertisements.
Today, Conart is gearing up for the release of its 2010 Summer collection, consisting of a slew of new t-shirts and hoodies.
“When I design a collection I don’t really sit down and think about it, I do what I feel and what comes to mind and hope the people like it,” said founder Ash Hudson.
“I wanted the summer collection to be colorful, bright, logo branding and still a variety of design styles from all cultures of art, to our throwback collection from some of the start of Conart, photographs I have taken, and something young and fresh. This line features some of graffiti’s most prolific artists.”
The upcoming line consists of 14 different tee styles including designs with the brand’s original logo, in addition to others, in multiple colorways. There is also an OG Conart hoodie being released as well.
The brand is sold in Japan, Canada, and New York.
Conart’s 2010 Summer collection will drop on July 30th. People can get some of the gear at their new retail store at 431 N. Fairfax Ave in Los Angeles, or visit their website at Conart.com where they will launch an online store soon.
