Veteran female rapper Lil Kim has reportedly joined Jay-Z’s Roc Nation, an full-serve entertainment company and label.
According to various reports, Kim becomes the Roc’s latest signee, and will have the pleasure of Jay-Z executive-producing her next solo album.
Nothing has been officially announced by Kim or Roc Nation, but industry insiders have confirmed the deal has been inked.
It’s still unclear, however, if Roc Nation will serve as Kim’s management or if she is signed as an artist to the record label arm of the company.
Further details were unknown at press time.
It’s been five years since Lil Kim dropped an album, the last being 2005’s The Naked Truth. But, she’s been in the media eye. In 2009, she joined the 8th season of “Dancing With The Stars,” lasting nine weeks before being eliminated.
Roc Nation boasts a roster of artists including rising singer J. Cole, Bridget Kelly, and Rita Ora; while as management they represent Melanie Fiona, Daniel Merriweather and Wale, according to Wikipedia.
