Lil Cease Says Biggie Would Want To See Junior M.A.F.I.A. Together, Plans Reunion

Lil CeaseIf the Notorious B.I.G. were alive today, he would've turned 38 years old on Friday (May 21). But he's not, and most likely -- if he's looking down upon his friends -- it's likely that he'd love to see his Junior M.A.F.I.A. crew still working together like they did while he was alive.

The collective, which Biggie handpicked and formed in the early 90s, drifted apart more than five years ago, as members Lil Kim and Lil Cease publicly parted ways after Cease was forced to testify against Kim in her infamous perjury case.

However, Cease sat down with MTV recently, to speak about Biggie, and said that if he could send his late mentor a gift, it'd be to bring "the family back together."

"Just to see all the people he had around him in one room together: Me, Kim, D-Roc, Gutter, the whole M.A.F.I.A. Those people, it wasn't business with us -- it was friends. I didn't write rhymes. I'm sure [Biggie] didn't put me in the group because I had talent. He said, 'I wanna make sure you good for the rest of your life. I'mma build you your own lane. You take it from there.' He did that for me and nine other people in the group," Cease explained.

"He also did that for the people that surrounded us, the friends like [Lance] 'Un' Rivera. A lot of us are here because of what Biggie built. At the end of the day, no matter what [gripes M.A.F.I.A. members may have], if everybody say they love Big like they say they would love him, I know [a reunion] is something he would want. I know something that's [probably] bothering him is that everybody is separated."

Lil Cease went on to say that he's gonna continue to try to make a reconciliation happen with Junior M.A.F.I.A., and so far, he says everyone is on board but Kim.

"We're working on it," the rapper tells MTV. "That's something I would definitely want to do. I tried it for a year. Especially for Kim -- I reached out for years. Everybody else is kinda in sync: I speak to Roc, Nino, D, [Money] L, everybody else is still kinda connected. The only one I wasn't connected [with] was Kim."

Whether it will happen is still up in the air, but Cease says both him and Kim run in the same circles, and it seems as though things are turning back around.

No matter what problems Cease and Kim had brewing, Cease-A-Leo says is in the past.

"I don't want no drama, especially with somebody I came up with. These are the things I think about."
