In celebration of 15 years in music, Duck Down Records are set to put together a commemorative album, titled 15 Years of Duck Down Music.
And, they want fans to help them. The indie label, founded in 1995 by Dru Ha and Buckshot, needs fans to help them decide what will be included on their upcoming project.
They urge fans to visit DuckDown.com, where you’ll find a list of the top songs released through the label, from 1995 through 2010.
From there, fans can vote for their favorite song from each year. The song with the most votes from each year will be highly recommended to be included in the final album track listing.
Voting will end June 1st.
Then, on July 13th, 15 Years of Duck Down Music will be made available strictly as a physical CD. Duck Down says that fans can expect “unique packaging in honor of this historic album.”
That same day, Duck Down is taking over BB KINGS in NYC (237 West 42nd Street) in celebration, with a night of music featuring performances by: Boot Camp Clik (Sean Price, Buckshot, Smif N Wessun), Pharoahe Monch, Kidz In The Hall and Skyzoo. Music will be provided by DJ Evil Dee
