For the past week, there’s been rumors that while in Los Angeles, Miami rapper Rick Ross was robbed of one of his many diamond chains by 40 Glocc.
But, the BAWSE recently came out to set the record straight, claiming he was nowhere near L.A. when the alleged robberies took place.
In a recent interview with SpliffTV, Ross addressed the rumors.
“I wasn’t in L.A. two days ago. I got a call saying I was in L.A.,” he told the site. “Two fake Twitter gangsters said they robbed me for a chain. There’s too many real n****s in L.A. I see yawl, to even think about letting the fake Twitter thugs f*** the real n****s up.”
The rumors began to spread when 40 Glocc updated his Twitter page (@40Glocc) with this message: “SOMEBODY FROM MIAMI GOT THEY CHAIN SNATCHED OUT IN THE CALI STREETS & THEY TRYIN TO KEEP IT ON THE LOW!! .. LOL.. HURRY UP&BUY BACK!!.BAAAAWS!”
He later added: “HINT: “RICK”-JAMES IS DEAD!!”
On Friday (May 7), 40 responded to Ross’ denial of the incident. Without naming Ross specifically, he said that “rappers” hit the media for damage control after buying their jewelry back.
“LOL. RAPPERS QUICK 2DO DAMAGE CONTROL AFTER THEY HURRY & BUY THEY SH** BACK B4 IT GET ON THE WIRE! SAME THING LIL WAYNE DID. LOL! #staytuned,” 40 tweeted.
Outside of rumors, Rick Ross is gearing up for the release of his next album, Teflon Don, in June. But before the official album, he plans to drop a new mixtape, titled Albert Anastasia, over Memorial Day Weekend.
