Floyd Mayweather and Shane MosleyEver since announcing the upcoming fight on Saturday (May 1) where Floyd Mayweather will take on Shane Mosley, the theme has been “Who R U Picking?” Their camps have been running a campaign accompanied by a poll to see who boxing fans are actually picking, and it’s producing very interesting results.

With less than a week to go, the buzz has spread across all media platforms breaking the general boxing barriers and into mainstream sports, entertainment, political and many other sites.

Sugar Shane Mosley picked up 3% of East Coast votes and 2% of West Coast votes since we last tallied. The data still points to Mayweather dominating the East Coast voting, while Mosley still has the West Coast fans on his side.

Mayweather: 59% East, 46% West
Mosley: 41% East, 54% West

A more in depth look at the country’s top cities shows that Floyd Mayweather increased votes in Houston, Dallas and Phoenix while Sugar Shane Mosley gained votes in the seven other cities that have been tracked:

In the Male/Female breakdown, Floyd Mayweather gained a percentage point in both categories and now the women have the votes split dead even:

International polls are favoring Sugar Shane Mosley:

Mayweather: 42% Canada, 48% Non-US
Mosley: 58% Canada, 52% Non-US

The 12-round welterweight battle is set for Saturday (May 1) at MGM Grand in Las Vegas, and will be distributed live on HBO Pay-Per-View® beginning at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT.
