Wu affiliate Hell Razah has reportedly suffered a brain aneurysm and is currently in a coma, according to TheBoomBox.com.
Apparently, the rapper (real name: Chron Smith) suffered the aneurysm on Tuesday (April 6), was operated on the following day, and is currently recovering.
Doctors are saying he’s responding well, and is expected to awake from the coma in a few days.
The Wu family has yet to release an official statement, but Wu-collaborator Bronze Nazareth tweeted about Razah’s situation, lending his support.
“HELL RAZAH….Yo Lord push thru this! Much love fam your blessings are needed so fight thru it!!!! All Love,” Nazareth wrote (@BronzeNazareth).
Hell Razah is best known as a member of the Wu-Tang Clan affiliated group Sunz of Man, which also consists of Prodigal Sunn,60 Second Assassin, Shabazz the Disciple, and Killah Priest.
As a group, they released five official albums, according to Wikipedia, from 1998 through 2006. Their debut, Nothing New Under the Sun, saw several singles released through Wu-Tang/Priority records, but was eventually shelved.
As a solo artist, Razah dropped five records independently. Most recently, the rapper has been working on a new solo record called Heaven Razah. At press time, it had no release date.
