Rihanna got her fans excited on Tuesday (October 20), when she debuted her brand new single, “Russian Roulette.”
The new single is the first from her forthcoming album, which she also revealed this week would be called Rated R, set for November.
According to her label, RiRi has worked with Tricky Stewart, Justin Timberlake, Chase & Status, and Stargate on the album, but for the single, she linked up with Ne-Yo, who wrote and produced “Russian Roulette.”
Rihanna has already shot a video, which she shot last week in New York City with director Anthony Mandler, whom she has a long-relationship with. He’s previously worked with her on videos for “Unfaithful,” “Shut Up and Drive,” “We Ride,” “Hate That I Love You,” “Take a Bow,” “Disturbia” and “Rehab.”
The clip is set to premiere in prime time on ABC, but the date was unknown at press time.
Also on Tuesday, the single cover was unveiled as well, featuring a nearly topless Rihanna, which fits the apparent theme for the new album.
Rated R is slated to drop November 23.
