The highly anticipated co-headlining Fame Kills Tour, featuring Kanye West and Lady Gaga, has been killed before it even began.
A press release by promoter Live Nation delivered the news this week, but didn’t give an explanation over the 34-date tour’s cancellation.
However, it did say refunds are available at the point of purchase, and that tickets purchased online and via phone will be refunded automatically.
Rumors of the tour’s demise has been circulating the web for days, due largely to the negative publicity the rapper received from the VMAs incident last month where Kanye disrupted country singer Taylor Swift’s award acceptance speech to say — in so many words — that Beyonce should’ve won.
At press time, it was unknown if the tour plans to be re-launched at a later time.
