Beyonce has pushed her alter-ego Sasha Fierce heavily since releasing her solo album, I Am … Sasha Fierce, last year. Now, she’s pushing the identity even further with the launch of Sasha’s clothing line.
According to Women’s Wear Daily, the pop star and her mother Tina Knowles are planning to launch a new junior apparel label, Sasha Fierce for Deréon… just in time for when kids head back to school.
The collection, inspired by Beyoncé’s stage presence, will include sportswear, outerwear, handbags, footwear, eyewear, lingerie and jewelry. It has already been picked up by department stores such as Macy’s and Dillard’s, as well as specialty stores Jimmy Jazz and Against All Odds.
Tina describes the Sasha Fierce line as “edgier and trendier and reflects Sasha Fierce’s daring and outgoing attitude.”
“The line really exudes a different side of my personality, which I am grateful that I can express,” added Beyonce.
The collection will wholesale from $25 to $75, but is unknown what retail price range will be at press time.
