Kottonmouth Kings and Swollen Members Prepare For Summer Tour

Kottonmouth KingsRip-hop hybrids, the Kottonmouth Kings, announced this week a summer headlining tour with Canadian hip-hop group Swollen Members and Big B.

The summer trek will kick off July 29th in San Francisco and run through August, including a stop at this yearโ€™s annual Gathering of Juggalos alongside Ice Cube, Tech N9ne and GWAR.

“The summer just got a little hotter,” says Daddy X of Kottonmouth Kings. “For this tour we’re bringing together different factions of the underground to create the best bang for your buck. It’s going to be an unbelievable summer of mayhem, chaos and hot women when this tour kicks off.”

“Swollen Members and everyone at Battle Axe Records have always respected the Kottonmouth Kings and the movement they’ve created,” says Mad Child from Swollen Members. “I think both groups have always done things their own way and uniting both our audiences is going to be a beautiful thing. This tour is going to be one of the hottest tickets in the underground this summer and we canโ€™t wait to get started.”

The Kottonmouth Kings are gearing up for the October 13th release of their eagerly anticipated two-disc Hidden Stash IV album, which will feature over 40 tracks of hard to find and previously unreleased music from deep with the Kottonmouth compound.

Swollen Members have been clawing their way to the top of the hip-hop totem pole since their inception. The group has released an impressive back catalog of classic albums, toured around the world, and collaborated with some of hip-hop’s vets including Chali 2na (Jurassic 5), Dilated Peoples and Everlast. The group will release their new studio album, Armed To The Teeth, on September 15th.

Big B, who is signed to the Kings’ Suburban Noize Records, is touring in support of his own new album, titled American Underdog. His eclectic mixture of alt-rock, hip-hop and rock grooves has earned him comparisons to Everlast and the laid back vibrations of Sublime. The Las Vegas heavyweight has touring non-stop since the album’s release and shows no signs of slowing down.
