As we previously reported, a Canadian concert promoter was contemplating whether or not he should take rapper Flo Rida to court, after a show he was putting on in Nanaimo, Canada was cancelled.
Promoter Jerry Hong claims the Miami rapper was scheduled to play the Beban Park auditorium, but found out late last week that the Nanaimo stop was cancelled, as were all dates in B.C.
During the time of the report, the cause of cancellation was unknown.
In an exclusive statement to BallerStatus.com, Flo Rida said the cancelled shows were out of his control, but promised fans he’d return to B.C. soon.
“I want to apologize to all my fans in Canada for having to cancel my shows this week. The cancellations were out of my control, but I plan to return to perform as soon as possible. Much love,” Flo told us.
Hong said he was exploring his legal options, in hopes to recover at least $20,000 in losses. He further claimed that issues with the rap star’s management and a Toronto booking agent caused the cancellation.
However, he said he plans to bring Flo Rida back at a later date.
