Singer Mark Morrison, best known for his 90s hit single “Return of the Mack,” was arrested in London on Monday (June 8) for assault.
According to SkyNews, the 37-year-old British R&B singer was popped after assaulting another man in the lobby of the Warren House, Beckford Close apartments in London.
Morrison was arrested, and taken to the local police station where he was booked and later posted bail. However, he’ll have to report back in July, “pending further enquires,” Chelsea police said in a statement.
In 1996, the singer shot to stardom thanks to “Return of the Mack” off his debut album with the same title. The album hit the UK charts at no. 1 and eventually reached no. 2 when released in the U.S.
He’s still recording music today.
Morrison is scheduled to release a new album, titled I Am What I Am, in September.
