Rosco P. Coldchain, of Pharrell’s Star Trak imprint, was arrested last week in connection with a double homicide in Philadelphia, reports AllHipHop.com.
The rapper (real name: Amin Porter) was been taken into custody, following the shooting deaths of two men on Thursday (December 18).
While details regarding the murders were sketchy, reports from AllHipHop said that two men, one 18 years old, were gunned down at around 7:30 p.m.
Both died a short time after at the nearby Frankford Hospital-Torresdale.
Following the shooting, police canvassed the area, stopping two men for questioning, one being Rosco. He was subsequently arrested. However, he has yet to be charged with a crime.
Earlier this year, the rapper said, via an interview with SixShot.com, that he’d caused his own career setbacks — thanks to frequent jail stints. But, Rosco said he had re-focused himself, and was ready to get his music career back on track.
“I’m not holding back this year. I have been preoccupied with life, and wasn’t concerned with this rap sh**. Now my priorities have been redirected and refocused,” he said.
In October, Rosco released a long overdue mixtape titled There Will Be Blood.
