Chicago rapper Twista recently announced that he will team up with Chicago Bears fullback Jason McKie and wide receiver Brandon Lloyd to present Monday Night With the Kids, an event to give back to the kids of the community.
During this event, all three celebs will play various video games and spend time with thirty children from the Cabrini Green Tutoring Program, which helps children in the first to sixth grades that come from economically disadvantaged families through tutoring sessions that are conducted by volunteers.
“I’ve been doing these video game reviews for a few months and I wanted to get some kids involved, I reached out to McKie and Lloyd to make it a little more special for the kids,” explained Twista about the event.
“Being a big time gamer myself, I love this opportunity to play games with this group of kids,” added Lloyd. “Games were a major part of my childhood and were instrumental in keeping me in the house, instead of out in the streets getting into trouble. Also, as a hip hop artist who is new to the Chicago area, I relish the opportunity to team up with one of Chicago’s best to give back to this community.”
The event will kick off next Monday (November 17) at 2185 N Halsted Street in Chicago, IL from 5:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m., where the children will get the opportunity to interact with McKie, Lloyd, and Twista.
“We have some other little things planned for the kids who come as well so that they will never forget this event,” Twista concluded.
