Chris BrownThe paparazzi still get no love, despite turning singers and other celebs into megastars. A photographer claims he was attacked and robbed after he snapped photos of Chris Brown.

According to the Tampa Bay Times, 25-year-old pap Luis Santana showed up for a private party at the Vintage Ultra Lounge in St. Petersburg, Florida where Rihanna and Chris Brown were celebrating his 19th birthday.

The pap said that security told him he would snap photos outside the venue, and did just that, which ended up being a nightmare.

Santana told the paper that when he photographed the teen pop singer in his vehicle, security guards for the celebrities "chased him and forced him to the ground." He claims one of the security guards put his knee on Santana's jaw and when he tried to push it away, the guards took his camera, worth about $3,000.

He suffered abrasions and bruises on his chest, back and arms.

"I've shot many many celebrities and this was just another notch on my belt," Santana told the paper. "Then it just turned sour."

Police are investigating the incident, and revealed that they have four males suspects, but did not release any names.

The club's manager, James Guttridge, said that security is not supposed to get involved in incidents outside the club, and instead just maintain everything inside.

He called the incident "unfortunate."

Calls for comment to Brown's camp were not returned at press time.
