TrinaWhat is it about rapper Trina that keeps us wanting more? Is it the sex appeal or the sassy attitude? We see her in the videos and at award shows and she always leaves us wanting more of her glamorous life. However, what we know about her is limited. Trina claims that this new album will give her audience a new side of her. Meanwhile caught up with Trina to discuss not only her album, but Trina the person. Her insecurities, her relationship with Lil Wayne and her alleged pregnancy, and lastly why she feels this album is her best work to date. Is it true that this album, Still Da Baddest, will not be as raunchy as your previous albums have been? Why are you going in that direction?

Trina: It is just about elevating and growing. I still have the crazy records on there, but if I it was exactly like the previous albums it would make it ridiculous. Life changed me as a person. Different experiences and traveling gave me something new and fresh to talk about this time around. Are you trying to expand your image?

Trina: I'm just trying to expand myself as an artist. I'm involving myself with a different type of music and it brings a different element. You have been posing a lot lately. Are you ever concerned about body image? We all have things about ourselves that we don't like.

Trina: Definitely. I think as a woman we always have those certain things on our body that we don't like. I got a whole bunch of stuff that I don't like. Name one thing you don't like about your body.

Trina: To be honest with you, the one thing I really don't like is that I have really small breasts. It's annoying to me (laughs). It's just my own personal irritation. When I try to wear tops, I can't wear certain ones because they just don't look right. I hate it, but I would never say I wouldn't get my breasts done. Who knows about the future? It is something I think about. That is one of my biggest insecurities. Would you say that this is your best album to date?

Trina: I would say that. It is because of the fact that I put a lot of work into it creatively. I worked hand and hand with the producers. I tried reggae records and techno records. Try something different. I did not know what I wanted to do. I just knew I wanted to put a good album together and have fun, [and] make it as realistic as I possibly can. I'm sexy and emotional, and I wanted to express those sides of me. Being in love, being out of love, being single, being happy. It is so many things as a woman that I wanted to express so I would say it is my best album. Tell us about the single, "I Got A Thing For You."

Trina: The video is out. It's crazy, it's about me living in this condo and Keyshia Cole lives there, and a couple of other celebrities. There is this guy who I'm feeling, but I'm shy. I'm telling Keyshia about it. Tell me something about yourself that your fans would not know.

Trina: I knew you were going to ask me that! I'm really shy until I get to know someone. I keep to myself. I'm quiet. Have you always been that way?

Trina: Yeah. I just shy away from people until I get to know them. I want to switch gears and go to the rumor mill. There were some rumors a little while ago about you being pregnant by Lil Wayne and a miscarriage. Was that true?

Trina: People always making rumors and it is always exaggerated to the fullest. That is like a personal part of my life I don't really care to discuss. I don't even know where they came with that. It is not everything that was said. Do you think that there is more of a comradery among female rappers at this point?

Trina: I think we are more unified now, but it would be nice if it was more. We could do hot shows and work together. How do you deal with that?

Trina: You just know who is genuine and who isn't. There are some people who genuinely like you and some who you know don't. It is like that in any situation. I just deal with them accordingly. I know who is sincere and who is not.
