New York rappers Papoose and Remy Ma are set to be married this summer. Yep, you heard right.
The couple reportedly told Egypt of BET’s “The Black Carpet” during her television show on Thursday night (March 6), confirming rumors that they are engaged.
With the controversy surround both of them over the past few months, coupled with their struggles with the music industry, Pap and Remy seem to have a strong relationship and will forge the bond even stronger over the summer.
As of late, both artists have been in the media. Most recently Papoose has been the topic of headlines across hip-hop media outlets due to his confirmed run-in with rapper Fat Joe. Both rappers have confirmed that they were involved in a scuffle in North Carolina over the weekend, while in town for a show, but have given very different accounts of what happened.
Remy Ma, well, that’s a whole different problem. She’s in the mist of a preparing for her long await trial, in which she is accused of shooting acquaintance Makeda Barnes-Joseph in the abdomen over missing money. Jury selection began Thursday (March 6).
Additionally, Remy’s next project is tentively titled PunisHER It originally slated for 2007 and to be released on Sureshot Records, but there is no confirmed date for this album as of press time.

Despite the report, Papoose addressed the marriage news, saying that the engagement to rapper Remy Ma is false. He told SOHH.com that the two “share a friendship,” but as far as marriage, “It’s not true. [We’re] friends.”
