A Portland, Oregon rapper was shot to death earlier this week at a Houston motel while on the road promoting his latest CD.
According to the Associated Press, Blu Crush (real name: Mark Stenberg) was shot multiple times in the chest at around 1:40 a.m. at the St. Francis Motel in southeast Houston.
He reported died at the scene. He was just 29 years old.
Blu Crush (a.k.a. Dozzieloc) was said to have been on a promotional tour for his latest album, titled Jail House Dreams, which included stops in both Phoenix and Houston, in an networking effort to get his music played on local radio stations.
So far, police are still in search of the shooter. He is described as a light-skinned black male, 5’6″ to 5’8″ and weighing approximately 160 to 170 pounds.

Blu Crush is survived by his wife and at least two children.
