Bleu DaVinci: The World is BMF's Vol. 2
The infamous BMF (Black Mafia Family) leader Big Meech once said: "Let no man separate what we create." With that said, BMF affiliate, Bleu Da Vinci, has recently produced a cohesive BMF compilation LP, entitled The World Is BMF's Vol. 2. At this point in time, the Los Angeles native's sole purpose in the rap game is to embody the essence of the go-getters, ballers, and street hustlers from coast to coast. Though Bleu's BMF counterpart, Young Jeezy, is not featured on the compilation, Bleu definitely delivers street tales and stories about club escapades that your local trapstar will be sure to check for.

The album starts off on a strong note with the heavily addictive track, "BMF's Coming." With the assistance of The MOB, Bleu Da Vinci raps about the indubitable benefits of being a BMF member while describing the lavish, carefree lifestyle he leads. For example, Blue spits, "Caddy truck tinted up / hop out fitted up / looking like n---- what... I don't waste time / money I don't waste mine / I could blow 20 Gs in the daytime / then go spend another twenty that same night / and pull a few hoes / all f---in' the same night." With that said, Bleu Da Vinci's bars should inspire all current and prospective thugs and big ballers that are looking to do it real big.

On "Ride Together," Bleu enlists the female assistance of Jacki-O to create a Bonnie and Clyde-esque track describing Bleu's thug dedication to his gangsta girl. Producer Jim Johnson does an interesting job of sampling Whodini's "Friends" (same sample from Nas', "If I Ruled The World") as well.

Though Bleu may have aimed for a hit on "Get It Crunk," it was a monumental miss. This cliché and over done attempt at a club hit enables Bleu Da Vinci to expound upon his habitual club experiences of buying out the bar, beating up inferior wannabe ballers, and his (extremely accurate) descriptions of how BMF makes it rain. Bleu spits, "Four bottles of XO / ten cases of Cris' / three 1800s / a couple of zones to twist / three bottles of Grey Goose / orange and cran' for the mix / twenty grand worth of ones / let's get it crunk in this bitch."

"Get It Crunk" may have been a miss, however the Bleu's most outstanding track on the album is, "I Know They Watching" featuring CT. The Young Jeezy-laced sample accompanied by the ghostly, piercing violins enables this ode to police surveillance of hustlers one to watch for.

Furthermore, the perpetual drawback of this compilation is Bleu's inability to differentiate his lyrical content. This is most evident on tracks like "Work," "Money Grown," and "Star In The Hood." There are only but so many times an individual can mention the fact he is balling out of control. According to Bleu Da Vinci, BMF owns the whole entire world. However, it will be left to the hip-hop consumer to dictate whether or not they choose to own this BMF album.
