In a show of love amongst Philly artists, several of the city's rappers are set to team up for an upcoming concert, dubbed the "Brotherly Love Concert" in Philadelphia.
Artists such as Beanie Sigel, Freeway, and others will unite in an effort to show local music fans their commitment to working together, despite past beefs.
"ACG's (All Conditions Gear) are the official hood boots and I support what they do in the community," Sigel said in a statement. "I had an idea to put everyone together in one building and on one stage to start a movement here in Philly and promote unity."
The concert, which goes down next week, will be free to the public. In addition to more established acts, it will also feature performances from rising local talent, Reed Dollas, Joey Jihad, and E-Ness, to help give them some shine.
"I want to concentrate on the artist now, as I push my own label here in Philly," Sigel explained. "I want State Property Records to be the vehicle to put them on, so they don't have to go to New York."
The Brotherly Love Concert goes down Thursday, December 11 at Philadelphia's Filmore venue.
Update: Although it was previously reported that Gillie Da Kid was scheduled to perform, his publicist confirmed that the rapper would not be on the bill. He is set to head to Puerto Rico to begin filming the movie "The Avenue" with Ving Rhames .
