Is Mariah Carey Expecting? Ellen Thinks So & Tried To Find Out

Ellen DeGeneres had pop star Mariah Carey squirming in her seat when she appeared on her show Tuesday (November 25), when the talk show host brought up rumors of her being pregnant.
Carey, who appeared on the "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" to promote her latest single "I Stay In Love," didn't exactly answer the question, though.
Mariah said "Don't discuss that," then laughed. So, Ellen instead offered the pop star a glass of champagne, saying, "You don't have to answer that. Let's just toast with champagne."
Carey, noticeably uncomfortable, gave a slew of excuses, other than being pregnant, for not drinking the bubbly.
"It's just fattening!" she said. "This is peer pressure! ... It's too early for me. I only drink after 3 p.m."
Ellen responded, "No, let’s toast to you not being pregnant." Then, lifted her glass in the air, and waited for Mariah to take a drink.

Finally, after choosing what to toast to -- "Why would we toast to that? How about to the future? For both of our futures, who knows what they hold." -- Carey pretended to take a sip.
Ellen again insisted that Carey was pregnant, but Carey resisted: "I didn't say that. No, no, no. My mother would be at home, like, on the computer, like, 'What are you talking about?' We will let you know when we’re going to have a family."
