Shwayze Teams Up With Nike For Beach Workout Program

Malibu, California rapper, Shwayze, has teamed up with Nike Sport Music for the release of the Beach Body by Shwayze Workout, a 20-minute exercise program coached by band members Shwayze and Cisco Adler.
According to a press release, the group calls the workout is "a fresh approach to getting fit," in which viewers will burn calories and tone muscle, while working out to music from the group's self-titled debut -- including the their hit single "Buzzin'," as well as tracks like "Corona and Lime" and "Lazy Days."
"Malibu's a state of mind and you don't have to live on the beach to want a body that looks good when things get hot," says the rapper at the beginning of the workout.
Included in the program are several unique running challenges, along with leg-toning lunges, and arm work in the form of push-ups and triceps dips. The workout ends with a series of stretches that facilitate flexibility and muscle recovery.
It is just over 20 minutes, and is ideal for people who struggle to fit personal training into their busy schedules, according to the group.
"We were excited to work with Nike on this workout because we know how hard it can be to stay fit when you've got a lot going on," says Shwayze. "For us, especially on tour, the ideal workout would be under a half-hour, easy to do anywhere and most of all, not boring. That's what we tried to deliver."
"We all have running experience and nobody had to explain to us what things like lunges are," adds Cisco, "so it felt really natural to coach a workout, but to make it cool by infusing our personalities and our music into the mix."
