Atlanta rapper Lil Scrappy recently spoke on about an incident that took place in July, where he was involved in a fight that ended with him being stabbed.
The 24-year-old rapper (real name: Darryl Richardson) showed up to his sister's apartment in mid-July after she called him, following an argument with her boyfriend.
When Scrappy arrived, he got into a verbal altercation with his sister's boyfriend, a fight took place, and he was stabbed in the chest.
According to a recent interview with WorldStarHipHop, the rapper said he showed up to try to diffuse the situation and not start a fight.
"A n**** was putting his hands on my sister, talking real reckless. I came over there to stop it, to see what was going on really 'cause I had a show. I was fixing to dip up outta town," Scrappy said.
"Her boyfriend, her baby daddy, was putting his hands on her. I had to go over there and see what the problem was. He tried to buck, I put my hands on him. ... He stabbed me in the chest. He can't handle it, he can handle these right here (while displaying his fists). That's what I do, head bussa," he continued.
Despite his efforts and injuries, though, when police arrived on the scene, Scrappy was arrested and taken into custody. He was charged with felony possession of marijuana, felony possession of a firearm/knife, battery and obstruction of officers.
There was no word if the other man was arrested.
"Police was there, and I still got locked up, and he seen that I got stabbed," Scrappy says.
Scrappy brushed off the arrest and altercation as a case of a man messing with the wrong person -- specifically his sister. Like any brother, he tried to protect her, and he says he did.
"He just messed with the wrong sister. I feel like any brother would've did that sh**. I ain't no Superman. Any brother in the world would've did that sh**. I beat the sh** outta that motherf***er," said the rapper.
