DMX Hospitalized For Health Scare, Misses Court Date

DMX was hospitalized in Florida on Monday (September 22) for health concerns, the same day he was scheduled to appear in an Arizona courtroom.
According to TMZ, the rapper (real name: Earl Simmons) was admitted at a hospital in Aventura, Florida because of "fears of a stroke." However, his lawyer Bradford Cohen would not confirm reports about the reason of his hospitalization, but did say it was "serious enough at the time, but ultimately he should be OK."
"It was serious enough for him to be brought and taken into a treatment facility. He spent the night there last night, and he will probably spend tonight there as well," Cohen told Billboard.com. "I don't think it's going to be an ongoing thing or a life-threatening situation. He's going to be alright."
X, who was extradited from Florida to Arizona earlier this month, was slated to appear in Arizona court Monday (September 23) to face his multiple court cases -- including drug and animal cruelty charges.
He is now scheduled to appear in court on September 29th.
