The Charts: LL Cool J Scores Sixth Straight Top 10 Debut, Jeezy Slips To No. 2

This week LL Cool J makes it clear he's still relavant, scoring his sixth consecutive top 10 debut, but it's Young Jeezy's latest who rules overall.
Last week, Young Jeezy's latest effort, The Recession, scored a no. 1 debut. However, this week, it slipped to no. 2, while rockers Metallica scored their fifth straight no. 1 release. The Recession recorded a 65% sales dropoff, moving nearly 90,000 units this week.
The Game's third album, LAX, is still alive. In its third week, the Compton rapper's album sold 49,240 copies, putting his total at just 377,100.
Lil Wayne's The Carter III moved up two spots to no. 8 this week, selling another 47,350 units over the past week. He's at just over 2.4 million sold to date.
Rounding out the top ten is LL Cool J's Exit 13, debuting at no. 9, and recording his sixth straight top 10 debut. It scanned 43,646 units, and features guest appearances from 50 Cent, Lil Mo, Wyclef Jean, and The Dream.
Eric Benet celebrates a career-high week on the Billboard 200 with his new album Love and Life, debuting at no. 11 with 40,000 sold, grabbing the no. 11 position. His previous high-mark came with 1999's A Day in the Life, which debuted at No. 25 with 44,000.
Rihanna moved up one spot to no. 12 with her re-released Good Girl Gone Bad, selling 34,880 albums this week. It has sold just over 1.7 million to date.
Hip-hop band, the Gym Class Heroes, debuted at no. 14 this week with their new album, The Quilt, which sold 32,196 copies. The album features production by Cool & Dre, while featured guests include Estelle, Busta Rhymes and The Dream.
According to Billboard.com, sales this week are up 1.3% from last week's sum and down a whopping 25% from the same week last year.
