VH1 announced this week that it plans to launch a slew of all new shows including new series, events, documentaries, and specials this fall.
While some the autumn slate will include some returning shows, it will introduce some brand new programming -- including new shows starring Eddie Griffin, "I Love New York" reality contests Real and Chance, and specials on Raphael Saadiq and the fifth annual "Hip-Hop Honors."
Eddie Griffin's upcoming show, titled "Going For Broke," is a 30 minute docu-series that is said to give viewers an intimate look into the comedian's struggle to get his life under control and how he deals with the pressure of supporting himself and his whole family. It will premiere November 3.
Real and Chance may have lost their chance at love with New York, but in the process, was able to land their own series called "Real Chance Of Love." In their own new 11-episode series, the brothers get a chance to find love as 15 young ladies move into their Stallionaire ranch house and try to capture their hearts. In the final episode, Chance and Real will make their decision. It premieres November 3 as well.
On October 3, VH1 returns with another Rock Doc, this one being on N.W.A. The documentary, called "NWA: The World's Most Dangerous Group," tells the story of a group of childhood friends from Compton who channeled the rage of the streets through the prism of rap music and pop culture. It will feature interviews with Ice Cube, MC Ren, Dr. Dre, DJ Yella, Eazy-E's widow Tomica Woods-Wright, former manager Jerry Heller, Ice-T, and director John Singleton. Additionally, it will include rarely-seen footage and interviews from the group's early days, photos, and music.
Hip-hop mogul Irv Gotti's will return with the second season of "Gotti's Way," as he shows you more of life for him, his wife and their kids.
