Rapper MC Breed is currently in critical condition in an Atlanta hospital, due to kidney failure, reports Allhiphop (AHH).
According to reports, the rapper (real name: Eric Breed) collapsed and fell unconscious while playing basketball Friday evening (September 5) in Atlanta.
He is currently on life support, due to kidney failure.
His manager Darryl Morris told AHH that Breed is in serious need of a kidney transplant, and a donor is needed to save his life.
Morris says that several rappers have been contacted in hopes of participating in a benefit concert for the legendary Michigan rapper -- who enjoyed a hit single in the 90s with "Ain't No Future In Yo Frontin'" and has worked with everyone from Tupac to E-40 to Too Short.
"We are hoping we can find Breed a kidney through this process, before it's too late," Morris said.
Breed released his first solo album in 1992, and has gone on to release countless albums, well into the 2000s. His highest charting album was 1994's Funkafied, which peaked at no. 106 on the Billboard 200.
