D-Block frontman Jadakiss recently revealed that he plans to finally drop a new solo album, titled Kiss My Ass, this Halloween.
In a recent video, by The Best of Both Offices, the rapper previewed a new track from his upcoming third album, which is now slated for release via Roc-A-Fella Records this fall.
"Ya man is back. Sorry I took so long, but I had to get sh** right," said Kiss.
According to Jadakiss, the album is 90% done, and is currently working on the "trimmings" to polish it off. If it drops, the album will the rapper's first since 2004's Kiss Of Death.
"We just doing the trimmings," the rapper said. "The cake is baked. We just putting the icing and the sprinkles ... pineapples, whip cream."
In November of last year, Jay-Z confirmed rumors of Jadakiss signing to his Roc-A-Fella label during a show at New York's Hammerstein Ballroom, bringing the rapper to the stage, after weeks of speculation.
The deal brought the rapper over to Def Jam, after working out details with Ruff Ryders, which will collectively release this new project. Despite the involvement of three different labels, Jada says he's not worried about it eating into his own earnings -- after going through label drama several times in the past.
"D-Block, Def Jam, Roc-A-Fella, Ruff Ryders, a couple white dudes, whoever got they hand in the pot, it's all love. We gone eat. I'm gonna make enough for all of us to eat," he said.
His previous deal through Interscope didn't play out the way Jadakiss would have liked, and he eventually left. However, this time around, he is optimistic about his situation with Roc-A-Fella. "I got the motherf***ing machine behind me now… hopefully."
According to the video, Kiss My Ass will feature collaborations with Jay-Z, Young Jeezy and fellow D-Block rappers Styles P and Sheek Louch.
Jada is hoping to drop by Halloween. However, there was no official release date at press time.
