While teenie-boppers, the Jonas Brothers, hold on to the top spot for two weeks in a row, there's still a couple urban acts within the top 10.
This week, Ice Cube's new album Raw Footage made its debut at no. 5, selling 69,770 units. The album was released independently via Cube's own Lench Mob Records, and is his eighth solo project, boasting guest appearances from WC, The Game, Nas, Scarface, and Young Jeezy.
Two spots later, at no. 7, is Lil Wayne's Tha Carter III, which is still killing the competition after 11 weeks out. The album moved 56,821 units this week, and has sold over 2.2 million total, to date.
R&B singer Rihanna finally fell out the top 10 this week with the re-release of Good Girl Gone Bad, which sold 39,300 this week, putting her at the no. 12 spot. Her third release has sold a total of 1,676,010 albums after 64 weeks on the charts.
The last urban release within the top 20 is British R&B singer Leona Lewis' album Spirit, landing at no. 18 with 21,910 copies this week. After 20 weeks on the charts, Lewis has finally surpassed the million mark with 1,018,670 units.
Other debuts this week came from the Wu-Tang's GZA whose new album Pro Tools claimed the no. 52 spot, moving 9,250 copies, while R&B singer Karina's debut First Love opens at no. 57 with 8,861 copies.
According to Billboard.com, album sales are down 4.7% from last week at 7 million units and 13% from the same week a year ago.
