NFL player Dennis Northcutt, of the Jacksonville Jaguars, was sued in a Los Angeles County Superior Court on Tuesday (August 26) by a woman who claims he conspired to brutally beat her up.
According to a report from TMZ, Sharri Henry -- who also claims to be pregnant with Northcutt's child -- alleges that last May, when she was four months pregnant, Northcutt got his cousin to "maliciously assault, beat, strike and batter Plaintiff, her face and head with great force and violence ... causing severe and permanent disfigurement to her face."
The incident took place outside Falcon Club in Hollywood. A report was filed with the LAPD on May 17. Henry's lawyer said that Northcutt was angry because she refused to abort the pregnancy, resulting in the altercation.
She cites battery and conspiracy to commit assault in the lawsuit, and is seeking unspecified damages.
Northcutt, however, denies the claims.
His sports agent, Jerome Stanley, told TMZ, that the suit is "nothing but a desperate shakedown by a jilted ex-girlfriend who is claiming to be pregnant with his child."
Stanley added that Henry is seeking revenge after she was dumped by his client for another woman.
As far as the incident in May, Stanley told the gossip site, "She verbally antagonized the guy who hit her," and claims that Northcutt was unaware of the altercation until after the fact.
