Diddy's entourage was reportedly stopped by police over the weekend, and got a scary surprise from the boys in blue, when an officer pulled a gun on individuals of his crew.
According to the Associated Press, Diddy (real name: Sean Combs) was traveling in a seven-car convoy on Sunset Boulevard early Saturday (August 23), when one of the cars were pulled over for expired registration.
Sheriff's spokesman Steve Whitmore said that the deputy became concerned when several men approached the vehicle, prompting the officer to un-holster his gun to control the situation.
Despite brandishing his firearm, the officer was said to have resolved the situation quickly without incident.
No one was cited, due to the vehicle being a rental, and Diddy and his convoy continued with the rest of their evening.
Diddy, however, was not in the vehicle that was pulled over, nor was the gun ever pointed at him.
His spokeswoman Keesha Johnson said the officers were "really respectful," during the stop.
The music mogul has been flying back and forth New York to Los Angeles several times a month, pursuing an acting career. The funny thing about the situation is that he's been flying commercial, instead of using his private jet, due to super high gas prices.
In a recent video blog, he explained. "Gas prices are too motherf***ing high. As you know, I do own my own jet, but I've been having to fly back and forth to L.A. pursuing my acting career. Now, if I'm flying back and forth twice in a month -- that's like $200,000, 250,000 round trip. F*** that. I'm back on American Airlines right now."
