Authorities are still investigating the fire that burned down the home that 50 Cent's son and former girlfriend lived, but say they are still unable to get into contact with the rapper.
According to New York's Daily News, the investigation into the "suspicious" fire that destroyed 50's Long Island mansion is being delayed because Fiddy has yet to meet with investigators.
A fire official told ABC News that despite several attempts to meet with 50 Cent (real name: Curtis Jackson) to interview him in regard to the blaze, which they say is "standard procedure," they have been unsuccessful.
"We interview every owner of every structure that goes on fire," the official said, reports the paper. "It's standard procedure."
50's former girlfriend, Shaniqua Tompkins, who has custody of their son Marquise had been living in the estate up until late May when a fire destroyed the home.
At the time, 50 was reportedly trying to evict both Tompkins and their 10-year-old son during a legal battle over child support.
Following the fire, Tompkins had publicly accused 50 of being behind the fire although he had denied the allegations.
Authorities say there is no deadline for the interview regarding the blaze, but report that his input is crucial to the investigation moving on.
