The second annual Rick Ross Be Out Day, a charity event held in Miami Gardens, Fla. aimed at helping parents get their children ready to go back to school, turned into chaos on Wednesday (August 6) after shots rang out.

According to local news station CBS4, the event was going fine, up until rapper Rick Ross hit the stage. That's when shots were fired into a crowd of people, resulting in hundreds of people scattering and running for cover.

Fortunately, nobody was hit, and police later arrested one individual responsible and recovered a gun. That person's name has yet to be released, but he is in custody, while a second gunman fled and is currently "on the run."

The even was held at Carol City Park, and drew hundreds of people. During the event, backpacks and school supplies were distributed, along with a day of entertainment.
