E-40's sister, Suga-T, will launch the Be About It Project in Modesto, California over the weekend, with fellow female peers, rapper Ms. Toi and Salt-N-Pepa's legendary DJ Spinderella.
The Be About It Project is a newly launched organization designed to mother, educate, and keep the peace and unity in the community. All three females have pledged to support the project full-force.
It will kick off on Friday and Saturday (August 1-2) with the celebration of Spinderella's birthday, helping to bring awareness to its mission and upcoming initiatives.
"In talking to my manager and advisory team, we started thinking, 'What if we created workshops to connect with people, and the fanbase, to foster a deeper and more personal relationship in an effort to create real change, opportunities, and solutions to issues that adversely impact communities, and help people improve their lives through the platform of music," Suga said matter-of-factly.
"Instead of looking at what's wrong in the world, let's look at what we can do to change it through love and respect of all persons -- regardless of race, sex, national origin & creed, and work together as the human family to 'Save Our Planet'," she continued.
Suga-T says the program will work with youth and parents alike, to develop ways to deal with the pervasive problems created in the community by a lack of educational and recreational options and resources and increasingly difficult economic conditions.
In addition to positive community work, the female rapper and sister of Bay Area legend E-40, will perform new music from her recently released solo album, The Game Needs Me.
The new album is available on her official website, Suga-T.net, and features guest appearances from Ms. Toi, E-40, D-Shot, and The Click.
