Nas recently told MTV that he and his wife Kelis are contemplating whether they should do an album together or not. While there is nothing confirmed, the idea is there, he confirmed. The news comes just a week after the rapper said he wants to do two albums, each entirely with one producer -- Dr. Dre on one and DJ Premier on the other. "I'm doing my dream," he said. "If you could, wouldn't you do it? What else would you do? ... So I wanna drop the Dre album and the Premier album on the same day. That's what I'm thinking." ...

Despite the fact that his last solo album came in 2006 with Release Therapy, Ludacris is staying relevant in the game. He has a new album in the works and some movies on the pipeline, but most recently, he accomplished something a little bigger -- that being an induction into Georgia's Music Hall Of Fame. The feat was announced Monday (July 28) in Atlanta. An awards ceremony is slated to take place on September 20th at the Georgia World Congress Center. Luda is the first rapper since Jermaine Dupri to get inducted. ...

In a recent video interview with Trick Daddy, the Miami rapper seemed to be taking a shot at fellow Floridian Plies for not showing up for DJ Khaled's video for "Out Here Grindin'." In the video, Trick says, "Shouts out to f*** ass, fake ass, flow ass Plies for not showing up. ... tell him I said it." Despite the diss, Trick says there's no real problems with Plies. "That little comment I made about the Piles situation, that wasn't anything personal against Plies," Trick told SOHH. "Me and Piles are both responsible for that incident. He know what he did and of course everyone in the world knows what I did. That ain't no on-going thing. ... I don’t have a problem with nobody and if I don't say it out my mouth, then it definitely ain't a problem." ...

Wrigley's, the popular chewing gum company, has enlisted singers Ne-Yo and Chris Brown, as well as Julianne Hough, to create remixes of its signature gum jingles, reports Billboard.com. Chris Brown will tackle Doublemint, Ne-Yo will update Big Red, and Julianne Hough is paired with Juicy Fruit. On Tuesday (July 29), the company is slated to host a concert in New York to unveil the new jingles. ...

Foxy Brown recently came forward to explain the recent lawsuit brought forth by book publisher, Simon & Schuster, who claimed the rapper had never delivered an autobiography they contracted her to do. A rep for Brown told HHDX that the book publisher agreed to allow the rapper time to recover from her hearing loss she suffered at the time, but after she had recovered the deal was no longer there for her. Today, book publishers are courting her for a new book deal, and this is why Simon & Schuster have now just filed a suit, they say. "Now that Foxy Brown is being courted by many publishers to negotiate a new book deal, I find it suspect that after all of these years of silence, Simon & Schuster pick now to bring this meritless action when they were the ones to halt the project," Laura Dilimetin told HHDX. “Foxy Brown would love to continue with Simon & Schuster and welcomes talks to continue to solidify a deal." ...

Singer Ciara is on the new cover of Billboard, dressed in a sexy short black dress. In the cover story, she talks about her upcoming album Fantasy Ride, a new movie and modeling contract. The issue is on newsstands now. ... Basketball superstar LeBron James was named the no. 1 athlete to watch at the Beijing Olympic Games by Time magazine, who gave the 23-year-old phenom the cover for their August 4th issue. In the cover story, James guarantees his USA Olympic team will bring home a gold medal, despite finishing in third, getting the bronze, in the 2004 Olympics in Athens. "For us, it's now or never. It's the gold or it's failure," James tells the mag. "I want USA basketball to be dominant again. Every time people see the red, white and blue, they fear us." The issue is on newsstands now. ...

Besides Beyonce, the other members of Destiny's Child just can't seem to get their solo careers in gear. Michelle Williams' upcoming solo project, Unexpected, was pushed back recently from August 12th to now in early October. Williams was as surprised to hear about the delay as fans were, and she was disappointed, according to a recent MySpace blog posting. "I am so sorry about the news of my album," she wrote. "Trust me ... when they told me I was numb for two days and couldn't talk to anybody. I had sooooooooooooo many questions of as to why they'd push my album back three weeks before the original release date. I will be honest and say that I am disappointed ... Things will work out for the good!!!! I will still WIN!!!!!" Her album is now slated for October 7th. ...

T.I.'s upcoming album, Paper Trail, has also been pushed back. After a few delays already, the album is now slated for September 30. "We're not ready yet," the rapper's publicist told Billboard. His camp says they just shot the video for the first official single, "Whatever You Like," this week, and they just "need more time." It is expected in a couple weeks. ...
