While Compton, California is represented in hip-hop largely by The Game today, when Lil Eazy-E surfaced around the same time Game was coming up, it looked as though the second coming of NWA was on its way.

Eerily alike in looks to his father and a similar flow, Lil Eazy-E seemed as though he had a bright future, and his buzz landed him over at Virgin Records, where he was expected to release his debut album, Prince Of Compton. However, the deal fell through, and to date, the album has yet to see the light up day.

Lil Eazy didn't stop his music grind though. He re-upped, signed a deal with Blackground/Universal MoTown, founded his own Kings of L.A. Entertainment, and is now gearing up, finally, for the release of his long-awaited debut.

The young rapper recently told us, he went back into the label, crafted his single, and his debut is forthcoming.

"I just been working," Lil Eazy told BallerStatus.com. "I worked with Timbaland, [DJ] Toomp, and everything. I found me that hit, and I'll be out September 16th ... for sure this time. To all my fans waiting, it was just waiting for perfection, that's all."

As far as the delays, he says that's just the nature of the business and how you get acquainted when you first enter the industry.

"It's something, I guess, a lot of people go through when you get into this record industry," he explained. "A lot of people have been out a long time, or working on something, before they actually came out. I guess, it's just me getting introduced to the industry.

"Even with the fact that a lot of people think it's easy because of the fact I'm Eazy's son, it's just a work of time. That's all. You gotta deal through this industry, which is a lot of bullsh** till the real come," Eazy continued.

While his father is a hip-hop legend and icon, Lil Eazy says being the rapper's son is a double-edged sword. It may get your foot into the door, but there's a lot of conflict along the way.

"It's difficult because you got a lot of people who think they should go one angle with it and another angle with it, as far as because who my father is," Lil Eazy explained. "You can't leave his backyard alone because we are the introduction to gangsta rap, so it may scare a lot of labels and it may not. It may have scared Virgin, so I'm with a good home now who believe in me and we ready."

Despite the delays and the failed deals, the rapper was adamant at spitting at the date of September 16th, for the release of Prince Of Compton.

The album is said to feature a guest spot by Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, the protégés of his father Eazy-E. It will also include a tribute track to childhood hero, Ice Cube, on a track called "Shotgun," which was inspired by the street classic "Today Was a Good Day."

"Ice Cube was a huge influence on my record. Knowing him as a kid and then working with him as a man was a great learning experience," he said of Cube.

It's not immediately known what the first single on his album will be, but the first street single he has out is "What We're Claiming."
