In this week's chart wrap-up, Lil Wayne holds steady, Three 6 Mafia makes a splash, and Rza's Snacks aren't that appealing.
In his third week out, Lil Wayne manages to hold on to the no. 2 slot for the second week in a row with his sixth album, Tha Carter III. The album took a 32% sales hit, but still sold another 209,000 copies, putting him right over 1.5 million sales to date.
Three 6 Mafia's long-delayed album, Last 2 Walk, finally hit stores last week, and comes in at no. 5, selling 77,000 copies. The album's sales were fulled by their single "Lollipop."
Later down the line, at no. 7, was Usher's Here I Stand, which recorded a 21% decrease in sales, andmoved 52,000 copies. In five weeks, Usher's sold 806,000 copies.
To round out the top 10 is Rihanna's re-release of Good Girls Gone Bad, which took the no. 10 spots with 47,000 copies scanned this week. The repackaged set comes with three additional tracks, as well as the album's original tracks including the hit "Umbrella," and her latest jam "Take A Bow." 56 weeks out, she's sold 1,354,000 units.
Outside of the top 10, Rza's new project, Digi Snacks, released under the alias Bobby Digital, didn't do much. It bowed at no. 111 with 6,700 copies sold.
According to Billboard.com, album sales are down 7.66% from last week's sum at 7.6 million units, and are down 13.2% compared to the same week last year.
