Former Jim Jones affiliate, Max B, recently landed a deal with indie label, Amalgam Digital, where he plans to release three albums.
"Amalgam Digital is wavy like water. We sooo wavy ... Ooooowwww," said Max B of the new deal.
Via the deal, the Harlem rapper will first unleash the street album, Public Domain III: Domain Pain (The Album), in August, which will serve as a prelude to a forthcoming independent debut album, Vigilante Season.
Those two release will lead into his as-yet-titled third, digital only album, exclusively available through the label's site at AmalgamDigital.com.
All three albums are being produced entirely by Dame Grease, famous for his progressive work with live instrumentation rather than sampling as well as for his distinct work with DMX, Nas, and Freeway.
Max B, aka the Silver Surfer aka Wavy Crockett, has honed his skills over the past seven years, writing lyrics from prison. He joined Jim Jones' Bryd Gang Records, almost immediately upon his release, which has since disolved.
He's evolved into a successful ghostwriter as well. To date, he is best known for "We Fly High (Ballin')," which he ghostwrote for Jones.
