Ruben Studdard Marries In Alabama

Former "American Idol" winner, Ruben Studdard, got married on Saturday (June 28) in his hometown of Birmingham, Alabama.

According to local paper Birmingham News, the 29-year-old singer married Surata Zuri McCants during a 30-minute ceremony around noon at the Canterbury United Methodist Church.

Despite his profession, there was no singing during the ceremony, only vows, prayers, scripture and music from a string ensemble.

Ruben wore a black tuxedo with white bow tie, while his bride wore a white and ivory wedding gown.

There's no word where the the honeymoon will be.

However, they will stay in Birmingham, and he will began work on his next album, slated for later this year.
