Days after a taped phone conversation leaked to the internet between 50 Cent and Young Buck, 50 finally speaks out about why he did it.

The former comrades have gone back and forth this week, starting with a YouTube clip taped over the weekend, of Buck publicly saying "F*** G-Unit" during a performance in Tampa, Florida. The footage obviously got back to 50 Cent, who then retaliated with the taped conversation, in which Buck is heard sobbing while discussing problems between himself and G-Unit.

Via an interview with Hot 97's Angie Martinez on Thursday (June 19), the G-Unit boss explained why he leaked the recording, and when it was actually recorded. While Buck said -- via a response track -- that the phone call took place nearly a year ago, 50 says it was actually more recent.

"That phone conversation ain't that old. Three months ago me and him had that conversation, and then he did it again," 50 Cent said on the air. "He went out there talking about I didn't pay him his royalties. I sat there and I didn't say anything. I'm not gonna respond with a record to Young Buck.

"With this situation, I was trying to be as helpful as possible. You can't help a person ... Buck is real impulsive, and when you add addiction to that, you got unpredictability. He just does ... anything," 50 continued.

As 50 continued to explain the Buck situation, he was noticeably irritated with how the former southern member of G-Unit has acted over the past months. In addition to addiction, he says money is also an issue.

"[That's] outta desperation because his finances are in the space that it's in. He doesn't listen," he said. "Right now, while we going back and forth, he owes me $200,000."

50 revealed that the straw that broke the camel's back was the aforementioned YouTube video of Buck saying "F*** G-Unit." He says the phone call would have never come out if it wasn't for that.

Although the situation seems to be beyond fixing at this point, 50 flirted with the possibly of reconciliation, which would only happen if Buck were to seek professional help.

"He needs to go to a program and get some help, and then maybe we can talk to each other. Right now, he got real problems," 50 said.

When the subject of 50 actually recording the call came up. Angie asked if he tapes all his phone calls, in which he replied "With idiots, yea. So if they saying something crazy, then it's right there."

Aside from the Young Buck situation, he called Hot 97 to promote a radio appearance he'll doing on Friday (June 20) during Mr. Cee's Throwback At Noon. At noon on Friday, on Hot 97, 50 and Mr. Cee plan to air 12 brand new tracks 50 redid over his old songs.

Also during his time on the phone, he addressed the recent rumors of marriage. The rapper was caught on video, during an interview with Forbes, sporting a wedding band. He shot down rumors, explaining it's a prop for a movie.

50 said he'd been wearing the ring while filming "Microwave Park," and had been wearing it through filming.
