Remember R&B singer D'Angelo? He had the video for his single "Untitled" back in 2000 where he appeared completely naked?
Well, the singer is finally ready to make a comeback. Yep, that 2000 album, Voodoo, was his last studio project. Now, after J Records purchased his contract from Virgin in 2005, according to Billboard.com, he's back in the lab working on his next release.
So far the singer has worked with Raphael Saadiq on his as-yet-untitled J debut, but is also planning to get into the studio with John Mayer.
The label plans to drop a single for the release by the end of the year.
Since his 2000 album, which was certified platinum, D'Angelo has completely disappeared from the music scene.
The last pieces of news we've heard from his since then is a serious car accident back in 2005, drug-related arrests, and within recent years, photos have surfaced of the singer in not the best shape in the world. If you remember the "Untitled" video, he was in immaculate shape in those days.
He's also made sporadic guest appearances on albums by Common, Snoop Dogg and J Dilla.
