Queen Latifah filed a lawsuit in Manhattan on Wednesday (June 18) against a small film production company that helped finance the movie "The Perfect Holiday," claiming she wasn’t paid for a cameo in the film.
According to Reuters, lawyers for Latifah say California-based company, Perfect Christmas Productions, is guilty of breach of contract and owes Latifah $275,000.
In the court papers, they claim the company was paid several million dollars by different sources for the film.
"The Perfect Holiday," which was also produced by 38-year-old Latifah (real name: Dana Owens), was released in December 2007, and starred Terrence Howard and Gabrielle Union.
By February it had grossed more than $5.8 million in the U.S., according to Box Office Mojo.
