The Game Admits To Taking Shots At Jay-Z, Reveals Possible Next Album

The Game has collaborated with most of the heavyweights in hip-hop so far in his career. "Most" being the key word here. Everyone except Jay-Z.

In the past, when Game's career was just beginning to take off, the two had a brief battle of words. Well, Game did after he heard a freestyle by Jay that most felt was going at the Compton rapper. However, this later turned out not to be true, and there was no beef.

Well, The Game recently admitted, via an interview with HipHopDX, to taking subliminal shots at Hov in the past -- only because Jay hasn't worked with him. He said, he knows Jay-Z is listening.

"Even though me and [Jay-Z] don't talk or do songs, he knows. He listens," Game told the site. "He heard the 'You're 38, and you're still rappin', ugh' [from 'It's Okay (One Blood)']. He came back on 'Kingdom Come' and I was like, 'Yeah! Jay listens to my sh**! [When Jay said] 'I used to think that rapping at 38 was ill / Till last year I grossed about 38 mill.' I was like, 'I know who he is talkin' to. I know he listens. I know his antenna's up.' Maybe one day he'll do a song with me, and then I'll stop shootin' subliminals."

Jay has jumped on tracks with several artists over the years. However, none with Game. Who knows what the reason is.

As Game's third album, LAX, draws closer to seeing its release, speculation about his retirement continues. He recently told Busta on "106 & Park" that he does plan on retiring, but isn't all the way sure yet.

Later on in HHDX's interview, Game revealed that he would do a fourth album, but only if certain conditions were met. He revealed the requirements.

"If I do come back with another album, it'll be called The D.O.C.," The Game revealed. "It'll have 10 songs on it. It won't have titles, it'll just be Chapter One through Ten, and [it stands for] The Diary of Compton.

"The only way that I'll do The D.O.C. or comeback to do that album is if I can get Ren, King Tee, Dre, Cube, because I don't want any features except people who've been through Compton and really made their mark. I’m gonna get some DJ Quik tracks on there. If I can make The Diary of Compton happen, and can get Dre to executive produce that, then you'll see a fourth album."

If he can't, he says he'll spend his time with his kids.

"If not, you'll see me drivin' by the park in California, you'll see me throwing balls with my kids, that's it," said Game.

We'll see how this turns out. Until then, however, LAX is slated for release July 22.
