Rapper Warren G was arrested in Hollywood early Sunday morning (June 8) on suspicion of possessing narcotics with intent to sell.
According to reports, the 35-year-old rapper's vehicle was pulled over after running a red light at around 1:40 a.m. After the stop, police searched the vehicle and found marijuana.
Although we do not know how much was found, it was enough to add the intent to sell charge.
Warren G (real name: Warren Griffin III) and the driver, Ryan Butler, were arrested, hauled off to jail, and were both released around 10:00 a.m. this morning after each posted $20,000 bail.
The rapper shot to popularity in the mid-90s when his single, "Regulate" featuring Nate Dog, became a national hit. The song was so popular, they received a Grammy nomination in 1995, but did not win.
